When planning your kitchen remodel, you will likely hear of the term "butler's pantry." Butler's pantries originated in the late 19th century and were used for extra storage of dishes and food. Butler's pantries were originally included only in more upscale homes, and normally included a butler to serve. Today, we've transformed the pantry into a functional, informal area that better fits our more informal lifestyles.
